David has extensive senior experience spanning public and private sectors, underpinned by excellent town planning, valuation and development consultancy skills. Prior to joining CBRE, David was Deputy Chief Executive of the Commission for New Towns, with a £1bn landholding and a 100,000m2 estate, and was Deputy Principal of one of the largest FE Colleges in the Country. He has dealt extensively with the sale of freehold and leasehold interests in land, often subject to complex building agreements and overage contracts, and has wide-ranging expertise in the engagement and management of multi-disciplinary consultancy teams.
In the education sector, David has provided estate strategies, development consultancy, student accommodation advice and strategic reviews for client including Kings College London, UCL, Exeter University, Kent University, Harrogate College, and Thomas Danby College as well as feasibility / valuation advice for clients in the BSF programme. David has also advised residential developers such as Ballymore Properties on education infrastructure in mixed-use schemes.
More widely, he has provided advice to local authority clients on accommodation issues, and has also worked extensively in the health sector.
